Chris :
The weight loss alone should have been a HUGE red flag. I’m glad you have found some relief and got some support from her GP. 💜

I am so happy for you. What a huge relief. I’m still dumbfounded that you are mother‘s neurologist is so incompetent and negligent.

Would love to hear more about your documentation! That’s great too because the Doctor didn’t have to put your mom thru the torment of not knowing the answers…

I found neurologists so difficult to deal with. A great GP who’s used to dealing with elderly patients is such a blessing!

I would love a video on what you had for documentation! I'm struggling so hard with my mom and I can't help her if she had control. she's just not capable of taking care of herself

Yay! I’m so happy for you. What a weight lifted off your shoulders. I’ve always wondered why neurologists don’t want to declare patients that are obviously incapacitated, incapacitated. We ran into this too.

Huge W for you JoJo! I know that sounds bad but you have to have somewhat of a big weight taken off your shoulders. It doesn’t make it easy to see her decline but safety is a huge Win, sis!

That’s good news, what a relief huh? My mom is also starting to not eat the last couple of weeks. Protein shakes and anything with sugar. Pretty much it. She’s starting to lose weight too. We’re looking into hospice. If she doesn’t qualify I’ll be kinda surprised.

some good news, at least they didn't give her the opportunity to showboat. by that I mean at normal when they're being scrutinized. happens a lot. like I said, dementia does not equal stupid.

As someone who has guardianship of both my parents. It’s not a fix all. Many court hearings for all major decisions regarding care plan and financial decisions are mandatory. Judge has to approve it all and you have to hire the attorney for each. It’s a false sense of hope in my opinion. Best of luck
