@coachkellyj: If your follow-up is basically “just checking in,” you may be making it way too easy for someone to keep scrolling past you. I’d rather re-enter the actual conversation. Bring back something they said. Give them something new to consider. Ask a question that makes sense based on what you already talked about. Because nobody wants to feel like you’re standing outside their front door like, “Soooo… have you decided yet?” 😂 Follow-up works a whole lot better when it feels like the conversation continued, not like you came back looking for an answer.
