No. And I think metered on ramps are stupid AF.. the point of an on-ramp is for me to come up to speed to merge onto a highway. The problem with the meter on ramp is I am now at a stop and I have to gun it in order to come up to speed. Please don’t get me started.

We have these in Georgia but when there’s only a few cars going at a time they just turn off or stay green. This is literally never an actual issue here

So if that one car had metered themselves, and you come behind them and now you're the only car so you meter yourself, so no one is getting metered? It's not about the hazard from one on ramp, its about controlling the volume of cars on the road

In Oregon at least, they are timed if no one is waiting if you are going freeway speed, but the time you cross the line it will have turned green for you. So no, don’t stop.
