There’s going to constantly be blaming the scooter or bike riders. Don’t let them. This is the fault of the people who designed roads not for human beings but for cars. We could have dedicated lanes blocked off with pavement and grass and trees for bikes scooters and anything like it, but they refuse, that would inconvenience cars too much. We could have street cars and dedicated bus lanes for express travel through the city all over the city, they refuse, it would inconvenience cars too much. We could build a city where most people don’t even HAVE TO buy cars and have thousands of dollars a year from EACH OF US go towards every single fee that goes towards car ownership, but they refuse, because it would inconvenience the insurance, auto, and oil industries too much not having every single bit of demand. We are slaves to these companies and to dangerous streets.

Man sorry for the person that died but come on dude…Austin has so much traffic especially on mopac so people are constantly coming through on these crammed roads trying to get to work or somewhere so like why would you be on a scooter there of all places

Last week I also saw one of those electric bikes 🚲 on 71 it was going 60mph behind me the whole time. It looked like a motorcycle until I exit on congress saw it was actually an electric bike. I’ve also seen mopeds on i35. For those that don’t know the law or just for your own safety it a 250cc motorcycle the minimum to be allowed on a highway. A few months back I actually saw a guy get killed on 183 and 71 riding a bicycle 🚲 near airport.
