i looked at you as perfection until you hurt me, until you broke my heart, until you took me for granted, until you played with my mind and treated my emotions however you wanted. i don't know if i was naive, stupid, delusional, or just making the wrong decisions, but all i know is that i looked at you as perfection. i saw no flaws in you. i loved who you were, the way you carried yourself, the way you treated other people, and all the little things about you that somehow became the biggest things to me. i had to understand that you're human, that you're not perfect, but i didn't want to believe that. i wanted to see you as perfect. i wanted to believe in the version of you i had created in my head. and then you hurt me and treated me in a way you promised you never would.
