I would contact the vet and move the gecko on paper towels. Substrate could get into the wound and cause an infection. The vet should be able to tell you if the toe is broken, even if it isn't they have this spray with works as a bandage of sort and helps the wound heal:) You should also rinse the paw with clean water

More than likely bit it when getting his shed off from the latest shed whenever that was. My gecko has had troubles with getting her shed off her toes so she'll bit them on accident and recently she bit 2 of her toes off so try to get to the vet.

IF you have put more than one cricket in the tank it could be a cricket bite or they could’ve jumped on him and yes take him to the vet

Do you have any rope or fabric-like items in the vivarium? Sometimes their claws get stuck and it can seriously hurt their hands so be careful and remove anything that could be snagging on his fingers.

I'd say you should move him to a tank where it's easier to keep him clean and keep an eye on him but I'd definitely recommend a vet because the injury looks kinda irritated and swollen, and the vet will be able to tell you how to properly treat and monitor the wound, also really recommend checking out Natix's comment cause they clearly know a lot more than me

I would take out any substrate you have and sanitize everything and use this multiple times a day. If it doesn’t start getting any better see a vet

Go on YouTube and look up common illnesses and diseases with "insert pet species" bc i have no idea what kind of lizard that is lol. but do a little research see what symptoms are similar to in the videos and see if you need to take your baby to the vet ❤️

Looks like a pretty simple break leopard geckos are very good at doing that. Keep them in a quarantine tank. Keep him hydrated and watch out for stuff shed in the future if he stops eating or shows weird poops then take them to the vet.

he also if she sheds or even if she doesn’t he could be chewing on his toes my leopard heals used to have that problem

Have you pressed on it and moved it to see if he reacts? Is he walking fine? If it’s just a small wound and a little swelling I’d recommend just spraying it with antiseptic and keeping an eye on it, but if it is broken go see an exotic vet immediately!!
