saya pun nak tanya jugak...macammana eletrik dan air boleh dipasang dekat kuil yg.dibina bukan atas tanah persendirian..sedangkan kalau tuan tanah sendiri pun nak bina bangunan kena ada surat izin dari jabatan tanah dan majlis perbandaran untuk bua apa2 binaan diatas tanah sendiri...pelik

I was directly involved in a land matter in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan. We were a registered temple but the land we were sitting on was a government land. Since I became the temples Dep Chairman sometime in the year 2000, we made 3 application to the state government offering to either buy over or be gazetted as a land reserved for religious purposes. It was rather unfortunate our application was turned every time we process the application and when bring it up for approval, the state government turns down our application without assigning any reason. So whose fault is it. The previous government were dead against giving allocation for non Islam places of worship, whereas any new development above 10 acres the state government introduced a standard policy in all development application that insist an allocation for surau or Masjid. This has been in force since the 70's. Why didn't all the state government have such a policy for all houses for religious purposes including meeting the needs of nons. Whose fault is this? The government of the day is also responsible for neglecting the needs of other races in meeting their religious needs. In my case, without giving up, we made every effort to obtain the land, so we kept appealing our application and finally we managed to obtain the Negeri state government to gazette our temples land for religious purposes in 2013 after a long struggle. Not all temple committees have the idea and perseverance to continue their effort. After one or two failures, they will finally give up their effort. If only the state governments were proactive in taking relevant measures to provide proper allocation in all new development, as they have done for surau/Masjid, we will not be facing the same issue over and over again.
