@aikenchia: You really should visit the less-touristy spots in Japan because it's SLOW TRAVEL AT ITS FINEST 🌿🛶🔥 If you ask me, this was my favourite day in Yakushima. The canoe tour was hands down my favourite activity of the trip. Paddling through crystal-clear waters, fishing straight from our canoe and getting up close to beautiful waterfalls... it was such a peaceful way to experience the island. I also got to make my own chopsticks from Yakusugi cedar with a master craftsman, and even brought an art piece home for my new place. To end the day, we had one of the most unforgettable campfire dinners. Freshly baked bread over the fire, seafood stew, premium Kagoshima beef and dessert, all surrounded by nature while the sun slowly set.
