This situation is different because this wasn’t a stranger. This was somebody that she had known for years to her. This was a family friend so of course she trusted him.

What makes this case even more tragic is that her life was hell already before the kidnapping. In some way the outcome of this case made changed her life to the better, 'cause she got to start over with a new healthy family and environment
