Emmanuel Gondwe :
Unpayment of salaries has accepted gigantically, like a fungal disease I can call sporotrichosis. And as the labor movement, we are there to expostulate against that idiosyncras, or modus operandi, which is against the labor laws. And I get flabbergasted and bewildered when people say the cost law, or the protest at the University of Zambia is unnecessary. It's laughable. It's like you are full, you are satisfied, you've eaten, then when your friends, or let me just say when your children complain that, Father, we are hungry, then you start telling your children to say, This is unnecessary. You, you are full, you've eaten hungry lion, and other stuff. Is that fair? The answer is no. So we are urging employers to stop procrastinating salaries because they are torturing workers. It is a pathological hatred against workers, a pathological hatred against workers. This industrial preponderance by employers should come to an end. And I am here to say, a bash industrial preponderance, a bash torturing workers by not paying their salaries on time, a bash intimidating workers, a bash exploiting workers, a bash abusing workers. As the labor movement to continue protecting workers' rights, I think two or three years ago, I spoke and I remember I said when you procrastinate a salary or salaries as an employer, you are soliciting for problems. You are soliciting for problems in the sense that your employees will think it's a deliberate way or move of trying to impoverish workers, impoverishing them so that they become beggars, impoverishing them so that they become destitutes, impoverishing them so that they start meandering in the streets of Lusaka, impoverishing them so that they don't even become philanthropists to their families. What is our message? Our message is that pay salaries on time.
