Baptised means you are saved? Many Christians believe: “As long as I have been baptised, I already have the guarantee of entering the kingdom of heaven.” But if that were truly the case, why did Jesus continue to emphasise repentance, following Him and doing the will of the Father? Please listen until the end carefully, because this concerns your eternal life. First, baptism is important, but baptism does not mean your life has already been changed. Baptism is a public declaration that you belong to Christ and are turning to Christ. It has great significance. But after a person is baptised, if they continue living in sin, refuse to repent, and continue living according to their own desires, then they cannot simply say: “I have been baptised,” and assume that they are already completely saved. Second, what Jesus truly cares about is not only what you have done, but whether your life is following Him. The Lord Jesus said: “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.” Matthew chapter seven, verse twenty-one, (Matthew 7:21 KJV) You can be baptised, you can attend gatherings, and you can even serve God, but the real questions are: Has your heart truly turned towards Christ? Have you genuinely repented? Are you becoming more willing to leave sin behind and obey God? Third, true faith should not stop at a religious ceremony. Baptism is the beginning, not the end. A person who truly follows Jesus will be continually changed by Him in their daily life. This does not mean that after believing in the Lord, we will never fall again. It means that when we fall, we are willing to return to God and repent, seek the truth, and allow God to transform our lives. Because the real question has never been: “Have you experienced baptism once?” The real question is: “Who does your life belong to now?” If you also long to truly break free from the bondage of sin and experience real transformation in your life, remember this: The path of leaving sin behind cannot be fully explained by simply saying, “I believe.” It is a journey that requires continual repentance, seeking the truth and following Christ. If you desire to walk on this path, you are welcome to join our online Bible study group. Click the link in my bio, or contact us through the WhatsApp number shown on the screen. Let us study God’s Word together, understand the truth step by step, and walk on the true path of following the Lord. May we not only have the identity of being Christians after baptism, but truly become followers of Jesus. #christian #jesus #bible #faith #amen🙏
