Four brothers. One table. If you were slow, you went without. Nobody was being cruel-that's just what a full, hungry house looked like. But my nervous system learned a lesson early: food is scarce, eat while you can, there might not be more. Fast forward a few decades. Six kids of my own, perimenopause in full swing, and a brain that STILL wouldn't stop negotiating about the next snack. I thought it was willpower. It wasn't. It was a little girl at a crowded table who never got told the scarcity was over. Food noise usually isn't hunger. It's an old story your brain is still running. So I started rewriting it-consciously, out loud, every meal: → **Before you eat**, pause and confirm: *I am hungry.* → **While you're eating**, check in a couple times: *I am nourishing myself. I am fueling. I am filling up.* → **When you're full**, consciously confirm-don't skip this: *I am complete.* → **The big one:** *Food is abundant. I am safe. There will be more when I'm hungry. It will always be there for me.* The word CONSCIOUS matters. Each of those thoughts is rooted in abundance, and every time you say them you're strengthening the pathway that says *I'm safe now. That table was a long time ago.* But here's what I learned the hard way: mindset work is so much harder when your hormones are working against you. In perimenopause, my mood and stress response were all over the place, and that made the old scarcity panic louder. The Hormone pack is what I lean on to support hormone balance, mood, and stress-so my nervous system has a calmer foundation for that rewiring to actually stick. The thoughts do the work; balanced hormones make it feel possible instead of like white-knuckling. That combination is what finally gave me food peace-decades after that crowded table. If this is you too, comment **Hormones** and I'll send you what's in the pack I use. #womenswellnessjourney #Perimenopause #hysterectomyrecovery #balancinghormones #midlifeglowup
