For this one, I only used the clips from people who sent their face on camera, but for those of you who sent voice messages, don’t worry, I’m hoping to put those to use in the next edit. Now we just need it to reach the right people. I’ve sent emails out, and while most have gone unanswered, I did hear back from two. One confirmed they’ve forwarded everything to the agency handling direct contact with the Estate. That’s a start, but we need more eyes on this. We’re at 976 signatures. We just need 24 more to hit 1,000, and petitions with 1,000+ supporters are far more likely to get noticed. So close!! To the Royal Shakespeare Company, the National Theatre, and others who may hold access to his work, thousands of us would love to see everything that’s left of Alan Rickman’s stage work made available to watch from home, not just a performance or two, but the full archive. His performances in Les Liaisons Dangereuses and Antony and Cleopatra are just the ones we know about. There could be more sitting untouched, and it deserves to reach the fans who never got the chance to see any of it live. And it’s not just full performances. If there are recorded script readings, rehearsal footage, or anything else of his that’s never been published anywhere, we’d love that too. As a theatre student myself, this isn’t just about being a fan, it’s about wanting to learn from his work the way so many of us learn from watching the greats.
