How many gators can you count?? The alligators were congregating behind this point I was standing on that was blocking the wind, and there were some BIG gators! Many over 10ft, a few over 11 I think. So cool to see so many hanging out together! Also, a note about locations. Whenever you see wild animals gathering, especially sensitive animals or those prone to poaching(like big gators), it is important to protect their locations and habitat. Do not post locations and be extremely cautious about who you tell. A lot of people see this as “gatekeeping”, but I have been lived my life in Florida and have seen many amazing wildlife spots suddenly become popular and I have firsthand seen animals become poached or just driven out by the crowds. There are plenty of videos online documenting this too. So don’t publicly ask for wildlife spots, if you’re trying to actually learn I would recommend befriending people who know and proving you’re someone responsible who can keep secrets to protect animals. #alligator #animals
