Glacial collapse they think. Massive great lump of ice and rock falling. There'll be a thousand dead, watching those people trying to run was gut wrenching, there was nowhere to go. We become a bit numb with the internet, giving us access to watch countless lives snuffed out in an instant. 9/11, the two Tsunamis, floods, earthquakes, this. It shouldn't be a spectacle for social media, yet here we are.

It’s horrific, those poor people didn’t stand a chance. So sad. I’ve seen many videos showing different angles and locations & each one is heartbreaking. It’s so hard to comprehend what happened. If we saw this in a film we’d say it was too far fetched and it would never happen in real life. Thoughts are with all those affected.

This is the result of climate change. The glacier above melted enough that huge parts calved off & landed above a dammed off area. The dam broke and this is the result.

glacial lake is what happened here. lake was in nepal Tibet border, and these rivers on Nepal flows from northern tibetian site towards south,through the valleys. with the glacial lake smashed broked down it created monster wave. its horrifying. loads of friends and people we know are still missing and looking for families. not aure how the villages and whole country will re build again.

It was just the tip of a glazier that broke off and caused a dam in the river which obviously held back the water flow until it built up and then gave way
