Recommended acts and preferences of the prayer: Raising the hands when bowing, rising from it, and when standing for the third. Placing the right hand over the left on the chest while standing. The opening supplication (du’a al-iftitah) after Takbirat al-ihram. Reciting whatever you can of the Qur’an after Al-Fatiha in the first two rak’ahs. Important notes: Calmness (tranquility, stillness, and not rushing) is a basic pillar in bowing, prostrating, and standing.
