Y’all get ready for your beef to taste way different. As a trucker I normally have to shop at Walmart which is fine I have to shop where I can. I have friends around the country who are farmers and the stuff I buy from them is so different in quality and taste. It’s more expensive but worth it. It’s fun to listen to them explaining how and why they do what they do.

Crazy how she still has meat but all the blue dot ranchers I’ve found since this are sold out and having to take pre orders for late September.

We're at a 75-year cattle herd low due to Midwest droughts. We import lean trimmings to mix with fatty domestic beef to keep burger prices down.

Did any of them know ......, thousands of cattle have died in recent years due to extreme weather and accidents. In 2026, severe heat waves across Nebraska, South Dakota, and Kansas killed tens of thousands of cattle from heat stress. Similarly, a sudden weather anomaly in June 2022 wiped out 10,000 cattle in Kansas. Beyond weather, a devastating methane explosion at a Texas dairy farm in 2023 killed over 18,000 cows, making it the deadliest barn fire in history.
