@crisontherun: 📍 Acropolis Museum You can see the reflection of The Parthenon on the outside windows of the top floor. Parts of the museum floor are made of thick glass, you can look straight down at the excavated ruins of an ancient neighborhood below. And for the ladies, this means visitors can look up and see under your skirts. Five of the six original maidens that supported the Erechtheion porch are housed inside the museum. The one outside is a replica (!) and the original is in the British Museum in London. A space is kept among her fellow maidens for when she is returned, hopefully soon. The British Museum also houses the 17 pedimental figures (the traingular shape at the top) from the Parthenon, making up roughly half of the surviving sculptures.
