We went to Pumpkins Aglow at the Franklin Park Conservatory and here’s what you need to know (from one parent to another). 1.) If you’re planning on going anyways, try getting a culture pass from a local library. Typically a culture pass would get free entry, but for ‘special events’ it will get you 50% off (which still adds up, especially for larger families). 2.) I would recommend finding the blown glass pop up shopping area first. They have these light up necklaces that seemingly EVERY kid will have on once you get outside. They are $10, which was actually a lot less than I expected. 3.) The normal part of the conservatory will also be open during Pumpkins Aglow (which for some reason I was not expecting to be), so if you want to do both you can. We didn’t time this out to accommodate a trip through the conservatory as well, and I don’t want you to be equally as bummed as I was. 4.) Budget extra time for both parking and ticketing lines. Oh, and also bathroom lines 🙃 5.) There’s an indoor toddler play room on the first floor. So if you’ve got little ones that need a break from the cold, you can take them to the play room & still be doing something fun vs ‘missing out’. 6.) You can let your kids wear their Halloween costumes!! It didn’t even occur to me to dress up, but I’d say about 50% of the kids were dressed up. 7.) Yes, there are food trucks, but limited options and long lines, so probably easier/faster to pack your own snacks and sneak them in your bag 🤫 8.) Make sure you grab a map at the ticketing counter so you don’t accidentally overlook any areas / activities. We almost overlooked the spider section. Overall, I think it’s definitely worth checking out! Our kids had a blast. WHAT DID I MISS, PARENTS? #franklinparkconservatory #columbusohiocheck #columbusohio #fallactivities #builtheregrovecity
