The Philippine government should focus on local food production rather than importation and assist in food logistics cost reduction. The real challenge is the transportation sector because not only is the fuel cost will rise. The damages to infrastructure from the previous calamities as well as the flooding will be take time to fix. Which slows down Philippine economy and results into higher prices of good and cuts on certain supply chains.

In other words ang sinasabi ni Sir Jonas the Filipinos are the sacrificial lamb because our government doesn't have a clue on how to take us through the oil crisis. But if you read between the lines there's no such thing as stability in this conundrum.

The reality is the Philippines is trying to buy oil from Russia because the war in Iran has hulted the supply of oil from the middle east. In other words as Ukraine attacks Russia the Philippines will suffer because of it. The real messed up thing about it is that Ukraine war is supported by the US and Europe which are our allies. Unfortunately... The Philippines is just collateral damage.
