That does not mean every woman regrets casual sex or that a person’s sexual history determines their worth. It means the women surveyed were twice as likely as the men to report regret. Men are told that recognising differences between male and female promiscuity is an unfair double standard. Yet equal sexual freedom does not guarantee identical emotional outcomes. Men and women can make the same choice. They do not always experience the same aftermath. Acknowledging that difference is not sexism. Pretending it does not exist is dishonest.
