I think were all pretty similar in that we like what we like - i listen to artists ive listened to since I was 13 when I had control over the music I could play and so many of these bands are still producing new music - newer artists dont have the library our "old favourites" do so you cant really bed into them

I have a question about when I have seen you say “ waiting for a chorus” or “ waiting for it to build” probably paraphrasing a little. But I can think of some great songs without a chorus/ does not build much more from the start. The easiest one the springs to mind is “all along the watchtower” do you think you wouldn’t of signed it back in the day because of that, obviously in a theoretical world where Jimmy isn’t known at that point ?

I hadn't heard tons of songs that are siper popular 5 to 10 years ago because I was not on social media. 😌 I would probably be in Paul's shoes as unwritten was actually not a song I'd heard for a long time.😂

that’s what i’ve been saying! i think there’s a huge difference between hearing a song vs actively listening to it- like yeah you probably have heard a lot of these songs in shops or on the radio but like you said, you weren’t actively listening to them!
