Food companies can slap “HIGH PROTEIN” across a package and suddenly people assume it’s a great choice. Protein cookies. Protein cereals. Protein bars. Protein chips. But adding protein doesn’t automatically turn ultra-processed food into something healthy. If most of your protein comes from packaged “fitness foods,” you’re buying into the marketing. Build the majority of your diet around real, minimally processed foods first: 🥩 Meat & fish 🥚 Eggs 🥣 Greek yogurt 🍚 Rice & potatoes 🍓 Fruit 🥦 Vegetables Then use protein bars, shakes, and other processed options when they’re actually useful for convenience.
