I completely agree that a lot of pressure is placed on men, but women also experience a different kind of pressure, especially in Northern Nigeria. Once you’re approaching or past 27 and unmarried, visiting your village can feel like an interview 😂. Every aunty wants to know, “What is the problem? Why are you not married yet?” Sometimes people don’t realize that marriage is not something you can force just because you’ve reached a certain age. Both men and women deserve understanding and less pressure.
