Even before you said it, I was thinking it had to do something and brushing. Because that happened to me too, and my Dentist told me to use a soft bristle and not to scrub so hard because it can also weaken and increase the sensitivity of your gums. Something you can also do is use an electric toothbrush and let it do its work. Using one really isn’t about vanity. It’s more so that you avoid the numbness and pressing too hard or over brushing a particular section.
