Thank you for going to DC and for always being supportive and advocating for all of us. I agree we all need to figure it out together. 🙌🙏

This is why we shouldn’t throw stones at the people getting their GLP from China. It’s survival at this point

I listened to a podcast that this is mostly due to compounding and patients showing insurers they’re willing to pay cash..

I work for a major healthcare company and it's NEVER been covered. it's a specific exclusion on every tier of our policy choices. it's pathetic

This is the most despicable thing I’ve seen the insurance industry do in a long time. So many losing life-saving coverage is so wrong!

The lack of a solid and affordable maintenance strategy is the biggest gap (other than the lean mass issue) in the incretin market. But there’s a reason for a drive for oral small molecules. Cheaper to mass produce, more flexible on margins, ATTAIN-MAINTAIN was a good first look at how effective they could be for maintaining weight loss and the beneficial cardiometabolic effects.

If insurance companies aren't going to cover medications that addresses weightloss and that directly affects other co-morbities we can collectively understand why.

What gets me is that we’re all covering our own GLP meds to get ourselves healthier…because we genuinely want to be healthier. We are saving them money in the long run, but they won’t even help with this.

My employer, a health science center, has never covered any of the weight loss drugs. They want us to use their diet and exercise programs. As we’ve all seen, that plan doesn’t work.

I’m not a fan of government stepping in on too many things. This is absolutely something that should be addressed. The fact that there is a peptide available to help so many people that is priced absurdly high for insurance to cover and or patients to pay for it’s wrong. There are guardrails for companies not to price gouge and this definitely seems like it would fit into that category. It’s not complicated to produce. We’ve seen that with the ability to be compounded during the shortage. Having it available in viles certainly makes it that much more cost effective. This is a big pharma, PBM issue that nobody that is elected wants to touch with a 10 foot pole.

Hoping you see this..This may be a bit off post.. My ins (regence) will no longer cover Zep AutoInject, but switching to autopen. Supposedly the Eli Lly coupon is going away also. Any news on that?

I feel like it’s just gonna gradually keep going down. This way all of the companies can ramp up and produce enough medication to handle all of the demand. It’s just tough because everybody wants it now. But many who are already taking the medication are getting caught in the crosshairs because of the current cost.
