The electrical box wasn’t installed wrong! Most likely the tile was installed at a later date! You need fire rings.

My house is 80 yrs old, nothing but issues and walls that were part drywall and part plaster. These were a life saver. They work perfectly and it was shocking to me that my contractors did not know about this. I fixed them all myself.

🤔 Either the tile is not level or the outlet is off. Either way a level is not a special tool for an electrician or a tile installer. 🤔
