@billionairenewsroom: Johan Rupert Raises Concerns Over AI and Automation’s Impact on Jobs Speaking at an international business forum, South African billionaire Johan Rupert highlighted the growing risk of technological disruption as artificial intelligence, robotics and automation continue to transform industries worldwide. Rupert cautioned that while technological advancement drives productivity and economic growth, it could also contribute to significant job displacement if governments, businesses and educational institutions fail to prepare workers for the changing economy. He stressed the importance of reskilling, upskilling and adapting education systems to ensure people remain relevant in an increasingly automated world. As machines take on more routine and repetitive tasks, the focus must shift toward developing human skills that technology cannot easily replace, including creativity, critical thinking, leadership, problem-solving and relationship-building. The conversation around the future of work is no longer about whether automation will change the labour market, but how quickly societies can adapt to ensure economic growth remains inclusive and creates opportunities for all. #FutureOfWork #ArtificialIntelligence #Automation #Upskilling #Reskilling

honestly people are so dumb it's scary. Simply google his business interests and you will not see AI or electronics, or technology... he's into wines, watches, hospitals etc... he's giving excellent advice of you ask me. Those that are saying no, this won't happen.... smell your coffee before you drink it.. many KFC and McDonald's stores in South Africa have automatic ordering and pay stations... those were once human jobs. Automated access control into malls and venues. Once humans manned all of those now electronics are doing it. Toll gates are now automatically seeing your car registration and will open the boom to pass thru after automatically scanning your eTag.... so if you're still thinking of robots, like the 80s movies, then I have bad news for you. Your coffee has gone cold my friend. Next is petrol attendent. Automatically fueled and electric charging of vehicles... Automated car washing will pop up everywhere too. So when majority are striking, and protests at work, just remember the bosses are considering AI. Then there's self driving cars and trucks coming...
