My gf set up an automation set up so that when she can’t find her phone I just text her something specific and her phone will play a song even when it’s on silent so she can find it

Hey. Software engineer here. This would show up in call and text logs, even if he deleted the text message. Investigators don't pull logs from your phone directly, they get it from your provider because deleting a text or call log doesn't actually erase the log, it just hides it from showing on your own device. The exact data they retain and for how long varies by carrier but they at least would have record of a text being sent and mysteriously not on the phone.
