This why I’m not going into human medicine. My mom keeps telling me to go into human medicine because I’m getting my degree in animal science to be a vet but I don’t have the patience or capacity to deal with people. With animals it comes very easy to me but for people not so much 😬

hot take: working in healthcare only for a stable income is selfish. bc to work in healthcare you NEED to have passion and care for the job, you will be neglecting and treating the patients wrong if you don’t. you should work in healthcare if you really want to, not because of the money or as a last resort

I got out of surgery and asked for another blanket cus I was cold. But I told the nurse “take ur time I know ur busy” and she gave me the WORST attitude. Never got my blanket. She changed shifts with another guy and he got it for me immediately and I bought him ice coffee and coffee cake from the Starbucks downstairs. I know every nurse is busy. I know they have other patients but there are some nurses out there that do not belong in that field.

you also shouldn't be in healthcare if you're just gonna keep calling out if you're not sick, in too much pain, throwing up, going to a funeral, do not call out. idc if your man is suddenly off and you wanna spend time with him. don't. it goes against you, gives you a bad reputation for jobs down the road. just don't.

Both doctors and patients should be nice to each other, because doctors are treating the most vulnerable people at times, and I would want a doctor who is nice and caring when I'm vulnerable, and patients should be nice to because doctors are literally there to help them
