This the most masculine man who ever lived had what you'd call a feminine soul. we picture strength as hardness, no softness allowed. but look at the man half the world calls the model of masculinity. jesus flipped tables and rebuked the powerful to their faces, no fear. and he wept openly, welcomed children, washed the feet of men beneath him, and led everything by gentleness and mercy. carl jung had a word for this: every man carries a feminine side, the anima, and the whole man is the one who integrates it instead of amputating it. strength without tenderness isn't masculine, it's just hard. a hard man breaks things. a strong man protects them, and that takes the exact softness men are told to kill. any man can be hard. it takes a real one to be strong and gentle at once. that's not a weaker man. that's a whole one. #masculinity #faith #philosophy #jung
