To all the people out there who struggle with avoidant attachment, you all deserve to be loved. Y’all just need someone who truly understands you—someone who’s willing to dive deep with you instead of judging you for the way you think and feel. Kasi sometimes, you just need space to think, to reflect, and to process everything on your own, and most of the time, that’s the part that gets misunderstood. And to be honest, mahirap naman talaga yung nararamdaman ninyo. Y’all are the kind of people who make others wonder, “What’s going on inside their mind?” But that doesn’t mean your feelings should be invalidated just because other people don’t understand you. I used to be against things like this because, honestly, I couldn’t understand why y’all couldn’t just… work things out. I kept wondering why everything had to be so complicated. But as time went by, I started to understand it more. Maybe there really are people who simply won’t understand your point of view—and that’s okay. But please don’t ever think that makes y’all difficult to love. Y’all deserve to be understood. Y’all deserve patience. And most of all, y’all deserve to be loved without constantly having to explain why you feel the way you do. Kailangan niyo lang ng taong willing kayong intindihin at mahalin—even the parts of you that you struggle to explain. :) So yeah, hindi mahirap mahalin ang taong may avoidant attachment. Sometimes, you just have to understand that behind those walls is someone who’s also trying to protect themselves. And maybe, sometimes, those of us with anxious attachment can become the bridge—not to tear those walls down, but to show them that they don’t always have to keep those walls up. Because love isn’t always about forcing someone to open up. Sometimes, it’s simply about staying long enough for them to realize that it’s safe to.
