I'm 32, independent and childfree. Not marrying the BD is small waters, they (parents) sat me and my 22 year old little sister and we were told we don't have to have kids, or marry. My dad doesn't rate men at all😂😂😂

my dad has always been a girl's best friend. when my cousin wanted to leave her abusive marriage her first call was to my dad not hers. he spent most of my childhood showing me single successful women and telling me that could be me. when I got married, on the day he said "you'll always have a place here, ungakhohlwe" unfortunately he passed away a few years later and on the day I left my marriage I had a dream that my dad came to help me cross this over filled river to take me home, in the morning I called my brother to help me pack and he did the things no questions asked. Parents that love their kids and show up deserve to live forever 🥺

My Dad asked to meet him, and told him “You don’t have to marry my daughter just because she’s pregnant.” 😭 I always imagined this was a unique experience. 😂
