When you said "how do I serve others" for the first ever, when hearing that I said- no, I'm tired of doing that. I don't want to do that anymore. It dawned on me how we, especially women, have been taught to always take care of others but never yourself.

So when I came across your page I remember I hadn't pulled my oracle card for today. This is the card that dropped out almost immediately when I started shuffling. "Ignite your inner flame and let it fuel your journey, guiding you to fulfill your soul's vision". Girl, my "baby" is graduating this year and our oldest is expecting her 1st child! I've been putting me first and even my husband has been making me a priority. I'm usually the "do everything" mom/wife, so it's been nice! They can handle it!

Okay, but it's not about merit badges, it's about seeing all the suffering and oppression around us, and seeing how there are people doing big things about it, like mamdani, and wondering how we can do big things, too. my morning prayer is when I thank the Creator for the reconstitution of my soul. that I use this day to serve the Creator by serving his children. and the prayer goes on but I want to also add something that I started adding just a few months ago. this phrase, "may I also take care of myself because I am also your child."
