This temple is called Wat Traimit. It houses a golden Buddha statue weighing 5 tons, approximately 700 years old. In the past, no one knew it was made of gold because it was covered with plaster. During transportation, an accident caused the outer layer to crack, revealing that the inside was solid gold.
