What’s your take on this movie. Hearts on Fire (original title: L’Épreuve du feu, 2025) is a French coming-of-age comedy-drama directed by Aurélien Peyre. Hugo, a shy 19-year-old, returns as usual for the summer to his family’s house on the Atlantic island of Noirmoutier. This year is different: he has physically transformed and arrives with his new girlfriend Queen, a lively, flamboyant beautician/nail artist from a different social background whose sparkling personality and style stand in sharp contrast to his reserved nature. The couple quickly becomes the centre of attention among Hugo’s childhood friends, testing relationships, identity, peer pressure, and first love. #creatorsearchinsights #ComingOfAge #youthstories #teenlife
