Raise chickens for eggs and when they are done laying they go into the freezer. I grow some of my own veggie and since following a generational canner I will be buying a canner to start my pantry. She utilizes farmers markets for some of the items she doesn’t grow to can. It’s still cheaper in the end.

Grow everything you can - some things will grow in buckets or even directly in the bag if soil. Save your seeds from your own produce. Find others to swap with so you have variety. Ditch single use products.
