My point is more, it is marketed as an easy way to earn a good income. Often times when people fly out after working and being limited to the mining facility, they come home with new found freedom so they end up spending it on ludicrous things or gamble it all away. It’s very common for FIFO workers to be sat at the pokies and spending most of their paycheck. They end up doing a harder, physically & mentally taxing job but having the same income after all the spending as they would with a far easier job.
