@__mahadi.hasan__: INDIA ON ALERT: NEPAL FLASH FLOOD THREATENS GANDAK BASIN A devastating flash flood surged down Nepal's Bhote Koshi River from the Tibet border on August 26, sweeping through parts of Rasuwa before flowing into the Trishuli system. The disaster has caused massive destruction in Nepal, with dozens of lives lost and hundreds of people still reported missing as rescue operations continue. The downstream river system is now being closely watched because the Trishuli eventually connects with the Narayani/Gandak, which enters India and flows through Bihar. ▲ Bihar authorities have intensified flood preparedness and vigilance across vulnerable Gandak-basin districts. The official Bihar flood dashboard currently shows the Gandak above the danger level at Dumariaghat in Gopalganj and above the warning level at Bagaha in West Champaran and Lalganj in Vaishali. Districts requiring close monitoring include: West Champaran East Champaran Gopalganj Saran Vaishali This does not automatically mean a major flood will hit all these areas. The actual impact will depend on the volume and timing of water reaching the downstream river system, existing river levels and local rainfall. Authorities are monitoring the situation, but residents in low-lying and riverbank areas should remain alert, follow official advisories and avoid spreading unverified flood claims. Stay informed. Stay prepared. Stay safe. #foryou #foryoupage #nepal #china #india
