info as someone who used the cup for 5 years now: 1. the applicator sucks, i tried but never worked for me. 2. when first trying. do it in the shower, one leg up, fold it in half and insert it. it really doesnt have to go as deep, a bit the same as a tampon. it will kind of vacuum suck itself in place and you can keep it in for 12 hours withouth leaking. and when your take it out, do it in the shower again, yes you will have a cup with blood, it will be messy at first until you get the hang of it. you just flush clean it and insert it again. after your period yoy boil it out to clean. personally I find it way more comfortable than a tampon since its a silicon kind of thing and not a dry piece of cotton.
