As someone with Level 2 autism, I manage motherhood far better than many of the women constantly complaining about how impossible it is. Because of my autism, I build structured systems for everything, and our home runs smoothly. My son is my teammate, he helps with cooking, does the dishes, and helps with laundry, which makes running our household manageable. We stay active all year we travel, do weekly library trips for books and movies, hold museum memberships, get free zoo entry, and make full use of a seasonal amusement pass that unlocks four different parks. I do every bit of this completely on my own. I can’t drive, so we take the bus everywhere, and I am currently saving up for an enclosed mobility scooter to give us even more freedom to explore our city.

not supporting her. but how many dads out there has ever even given a single thought about dinner for kids? I don't think these women despise their kids. I think what they are doing is openly accepting how overwhelmed/overstimulated they are.

Single dad of two autistic kids I don’t know why it’s so hard to love feed and take care of you’re seeds 1 day away from them kills me I couldn’t do it I quit my high paying job and took a lot less money cause I need to be with my kids everyday see them smile laugh makes me the most happiest I lost my first born to brain cancer and I hate myself for letting her go I keep my other two close cause I love my kids

She made a valid statement. Its not just about cooking the meal, its the mental workload that comes with it. Choosing things everyone likes, trying not to repeat meals, do you have the ingredients? Grocery lists, time constraints with sports and school events.... Its ok for these things to wear on us.... its ok for her to state frustrations. Its more than a "sandwich" or "bowl of Mac and cheese" like you stated. You used those examples just to invalidate her. Then continued to use shame as if she doesn't love her kids- freaking wild. This speaks more about you than her.

SMDH. I don't understand where the world went wrong. My daughter is 24 and I will still go mama grizzly if you touch my kid. And if she needs groceries or anything I'm going to help her, until she's done with college she's my responsibility and truthfully after. lol

Single dad. Three boys. Full time. Two still at home, 15 & 17. We made our own cookbook over time. Smash or trash style. If they liked it, it got laminated and put in a three ring binder. Half of them came from tt. On Saturday they pick 4. This isn't rocket science.
