Cullen first became Optimus Prime in the original 1980s animated series and returned decades later for the live-action Transformers films, Transformers: Prime, Bumblebee, Rise of the Beasts, and numerous games and animated projects. His performance became so closely connected to the Autobot leader that generations of fans simply knew Optimus by Cullen’s voice.
