Went to davao recently and that trip changed my perspective. I couldn’t deny that this city is clean, organized and warm. Davaoeños are very friendly and welcoming to tourists. If you speak tagalog, they would not laugh at you and discriminate (unlike my experience in other cities). Hate the crimes but the people do not deserve the hate.

Davao isn’t a perfect city but it’s doing fine and better than most cities in the Philippines. Invalidating how beautiful and progressive it is just because you don’t like the family running it is irrational.

I’m from Manila and I actually like the Policy of Duterte. But there’s just too many people from Davao that are overly proud and likes to bash Manila. Can’t we just be happy with the progress of both cities? We are all Filipino.
