Good for you! ❤️I wonder what would the outcome be if the kids were in public school. I know things are easier said than done. Maybe someone out here has preteens in public school & able to make the “no phones” an actual thing? Or found balance 🤔🥹

YES!!!! I have a 15yr old step daughter who got her first phone at 9 (her mom gave it to her), I hate that thing SO MUCH!!!!!! I also have a 2yr old daughter and I swear she's gonna get one as her high school graduation present 🤣 we'll obviously have a house cell phone for emergencies or if she goes to sporting events, but other than that, it'll be in a drawer

My sister has three girls and none of them have phones. 14, 12, 8. They are so wholesome with incredible imaginations. It’s interesting to see them next to my cousins kids who all had phones early and their behavior is abborent.

Ok my almost 12 yr old has a phone but no phone number and no social media. Sh talks to people on kids messenger and plays some games. Thankfully she gets bored easily and can’t stand to be on it for very long

My almost 13 year old had one… took it away. 🤷🏻♀️it’s still active and she gets it when they go to away games or long trips with their dad. Our oldest is 14 and he has his but he lives 50/50 between his dad and my house so it’s a little different. The younger kids, probably high school before they get one.

My son is 13-no phone. My oldest got one at 15, my middle at 14 1/2 and we should have put it off longer.

Yes! Hold the line! My 2 older daughters received their first phone in high school. One a freshman and one a sophomore. We still do no phones at school many times throughout the year and it doesn’t bother them - they are now a junior and senior. I have emergency phones for my middle schoolers when they have extracurriculars and I have to be away for another kid’s extracurricular.
