I don’t get maternity leave unfortunately my plan is to work until I can’t and then quit my job 🙃 It’s both mentally and physically draining, I break down almost every day. My partner gets paternity leave tho

there's a dude running for office in fl and he said that woman don't deserve a day of maternity leave because that's just us taking advantage of the system. he said I know women who have a baby and then go to work the very next day, like that's a thing to be proud of that our country has forced women to do!

Yup- we live an extremely pro-birth country with absolutely NO support for mothers. And our rights are being stripped away. It’s disgusting. People told me I would become more pro-life after getting pregnant. I’m 9 months pregnant and have never been more passionate about being pro-choice. It actually makes me sick

They want people to have babies but they don’t want to build the infrastructure to make it easier for people to have babies. No one wants to have babies they can’t financially support bc they don’t get paid maternity leave for the 3-4 months they need to take off to recover from having a baby. Daycare is worth 3 times my mortgage. Which is absolutely insane. I got lucky and didn’t have to do daycare because my job allows me to bring my child with me. Not everyone gets that luxury. Also, a woman doesn’t want to have a baby not knowing if she’s going to get the proper medical care if there were complications.
