My previous job, the new prez hated me. Told my boss to fire me. She found a job and left and he was stuck with me. He cut two supplemental assignments which reduced my salary $20k. Nine months later I found another job, 100% remote at 2.5x the salary. My prayer during the search? “Open the door you want me to walk through.” I watched person after person leave while I was stuck there. Didn’t pray for opportunity, discernment…nothing. Just THE door!🙌🏽🙌🏽

I got laid off last year and it’s been a lonnnnnnnnng 14 months but I start my dream job next week. I finally realized the reason I had to be in the trenches for 14 months was bc the prior person had not been promoted yet, so my dream job wasn’t available yet. Sometimes we don’t know why things take so long to work out until after the fact, but I’m grateful and proud of myself for not giving up. This job market is beyond demoralizing.

Had childhood cancer (11) woke up from my first surgery my dad asked me if I needed anything. (Me not knowing it was cancer.) “yeah I need 2 things the new nba live (2003) and I need you to stop smoking!” Dad stood up out of that hospital chair in recovery room balled up a pack of newports and trashed them right there!!!! Hasn’t smoked a cigarette again since THAT DAY! I’m now (36) he’ll be 65 in 2 months! 🙌🏾 24 years in remission btw God makes no mistakes

Here is my story: In May 2024, my car broke down on the way to a job interview. I ended up not getting that job but got another one very soon after. Only problem is that it was on the other side of town and I didn’t have a car. I ended up ubering, renting and borrowing cars for about 6 months before I had the chance to just move closer to my job. My new home was about 10 minutes from the office. I hated it because it was so far from my friends and family but I had to do what I had to do. 6 months after the move, I got really sick…vomiting repeatedly, had gotten so weak I could barely get out of bed. After going through this for about 2 days, I decided to go to the ER. Luckily my new apartment was across the street from the hospital. I got to the ER and was immediately surrounded by medical pros…I found out I was having a heart attack. Had my car not broken down, forcing me to move across town to be closer to work and into an apartment right across the street from a hospital, I probably wouldn’t be alive today. I had open heart surgery May 2025, a year after my car broke down. Also, b/c of my benefits at work, I didn’t have any hospital bills to pay after having such a big procedure, and I was able to take time off to recover worry-free.
