I can tell a lot of these comments are not Floridians. Alligators are actually VERY chill animals unless you feed it, mess with it, or a mother protecting her nest. Most likely the person who called moved from a different state to Florida. Most Floridians understand this alligator was living in that pond before you decided that's where you wanted your house. Respect them and their space and habitat and they respect you. It's literally that simple.

😡 That poor woman & gator. People just out there hurting animals for no reason, no reason at all! She clearly knows her baby from the rest of the lizards. You’re accusing her baby of a violent attack and have zero proof of it!

I was curious and wanted to know what happened to the alligators: What happened to the alligator from the video? Even though the resident thought she was “protecting” the animal, her protest ultimately sealed its fate. It was captured and killed: The alligator in this specific case was captured by DNA Outdoors and—as required by law—killed and disposed of. No mercy for feeding: Precisely because the resident admitted (and it was evident from the alligator’s bulging belly) that it had been fed, there was absolutely no chance of an exception. An alligator that expects food from humans and has already shown aggression is a ticking time bomb. Under no circumstances may it be allowed to live or be relocated.
