Also…As a man I HATE how “low” those kitchens are! Maybe I’m “the friend that’s too woke” but I know for certain that standard measurements for appliances and cabinets are for the average women’s height because they still expect only women to cook and I always have to hunch to see the full stove tops or the sink AND IT’S STILL DOESNT MAKE SENSE BECAUSE THE AVERAGE WOMEN CAN’T REACH THE TOP SHELF SO IT’S JUST IN THE WAAAAYYYYY!!

yeah the kitchen being open actually makes stuff worse cus with a closed kitchen you could say that you're cooking and keep people out, but now you're cooking and have kids around and are checking on the house and are raising your husband all at the same time!

yall aren’t ready for how sexist egyptian kitchens are. usually the tiniest, hottest room with no ventilation!! most kitchens here don’t even have windows they just have a tiny air shaft i’ve always found it so depressing

uh! uh! the visual design of those kitchens was much more playflul until it became normal for men to be in it. colorful fridges, pots with flower designs etc. vanished so men wouldn't feel girlie using them. now everything is freaking steel pots this, butchers block that, plain walls, no color, sharp corners. the modern kitchen style and the way most appliences look is supposed to appeal to men even though women are still expected to spend the majority of the time in them.
