Yeah, 10 minutes is BS and more theater. This reminds me of Manager vs. Maker time, as Paul Graham from YCombinator once wrote about. Managers might not even have to do anything, and their function is to sit through meetings and do tasks that don't really require focus and thinking. Makers such as programmers, creatives, writers, etc. need to focus and it might take 10, 30, or 60 minutes simply to load in the information and get into that mental state to complete the task.
