I have always been a Toph stan, but they did Katara so dirty in the sequels. She was such a strong example for girlies who weren’t tomboys but still wanted to be strong. And she was reduced to female stereotypes.

Aang was an incredible husband, Idc what y’all say. He made a point of referring to her as a master, he idolised her and never once reduced her to “just” anything! He appreciated the complex woman she was, the included her enjoying healing. Do you really think she’d do it if she didn’t enjoy it? Being a healer is not a bad thing. But only getting remembered as a healer while she was also the second ever bloodbender, best waterbender and a great fighter. Yes she gets a statue in comics but they did her soo dirty in tlok. Everyone yelled at her, ignored her when she was the one who was actually one of the main reasons Gaang actually made it alive multiple times
